This is a free session for all Lisbon and Portugal based startups interested in setting up a UK branch of their business. The session will commence with a seminar by Buckworths, the leading London law firm specialising in advising startups. The session will cover: 

(i) how to set up a branch in the UK;

(ii) commercial issues including rules relating to online businesses, data protection compliance, liability and insurance and handling payments;

(iii) raising investment from UK investors; and

(iv) the tax treatment of a UK branch.

There will then be a question and answers sessions followed by networking and drinks. THIS SESSION WILL BE IN ENGLISH ONLY. Supporting material will be available to take away. There is no charge to attend this seminar.
